Yes you can get an admission in NIT. If you get home state quota then it will be help you more to take a one step ahead to take an admission.
You should check the list of NIT which will be suitable for you.
If you can join the NIT present in your state then that would be more helpful for you.
For details check the official site of NTA and get the current year cutoff and apply for counseling.
