First criteria for branch choice should be that which branch interests you more.

As for industry, both branches are good.

CSE has a lot of scope both in terms of job opportunities as well as your post graduation. It is the most sought after branch today,so you would be keeping up with the trend if you choose it.

As for electrical,it has good opportunities for government jobs and you can also do software jobs as most if not all IT companies allow electrical branch students to sit for recruitment process.

As such, both branches are very good, just choose one and give it your all.

Its better to take CS as it has good after graduation value in placements as well as in further studies the branches available in cs in Masters is beyond your imagination now.But soon when you will start to learn this will become a boon.

Well, as per the current trends, you wouldn't be wrong if you chose CS. It really depends on what you want at this point, because even if you choose Electrical, you can join Software industry, as most companies belonging to the IT sector do allow candidates from Electrical to join if they have knowledge of programming.
