Hello there,
According to the formula, [100-79*869010], your All India Rank is 182492 approximately, where 79 is your percentile and 869010 is the total number of candidates who appeared in JEE Main Jan session. Now, to be qualified for JEE Advanced, you need to rank within 250000 including all categories. The categories will be divided as follows:
Gen-ews: 10%
Obc ncl: 27%
ST: 7.5%
SC: 15%
Open: 40.5%
PwD-5% horizontal reservation
Since your rank is within 250000, you can appear for JEE Advanced 2020.

Hope this answer helps you.
Good luck!!

Hi,

Last year the cutoff to be eligible for JEE Advanced was 78.2174869 for GEN-EWS category. This year the cutoff may vary a lot as many students could not appear in the exam due to lack of transportation in this pandemic. You may expect a lower cutoff this year. To know the exact cutoff you need to wait till JEE Main 2020 results are declared. Hope for the best. Good luck.

Hi

It's quite difficult to predict whether you will be eligible for JEE advanced or not as qualifying cutoff percentile keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.

But if we look at  past your Trends, for example jee main in 2019 qualifying cutoff percentile to be eligible for JEE advanced is given below for EWS category

GEN-EWS :- 78.2174869

Now, you have got 79 percentile, that is more than 78 percentile which was last year cutoff percentile for ews category to be eligible for JEE advanced.

Thus , you hold a chance for qualifying jee mains 2020 examination and can be eligible for JEE advanced examination.

Thank you

As per the previous year and this year expected cutoff, You are eligible for JEE Advanced.

But with this 79 percentile you chances of getting NIT is even more difficult.

Your rank will be around 2,00,000. he chances are very less  to get a seat in NITs, IIITs & GFTIs as per the previous year cutoff as a general ews category . however you can try for state counseling like Punjab, Haryana, MP, Andhra Pradesh Etc.

Even then, you can attempt JEE Advenced.

To know your admission chances in JOSSA & State counseling you can use JEE Main college Predictor tool.
