Well if you are passionate about engineering then there are two options which can be undertaken
1) you need to apply for counselling in state engineering colleges even if chances of your getting into them are meagre , also look out for good private engineering colleges in your state afflitated to state university and apply to them, also apply to local engineering colleges afflitated to state unviversity work hard in college year's participate in hackathons etc build a good profile you can even get a good off campus placement with this
or if you can afford good private engineering colleges get admission through management quota(eg VIT etc , etc )
2)Take a year off only if you want to go for iit's , nit's , bit's work very hard and appear in jee next year
DO APPLY FOR SOME PRIVATE INSTITUE AND OTHER UNIVERSITY LIKE VIT SRM ETC.
ALSO YOU CAN APPLY TO UPSEE OR MDU UNIVERSITY.
DONT WORRY YOU WILL DEFINITELY GET GOOD COLLEGE JUST PREPARE OTHER ENTRANCE EXAM AND CLEAR OUT AND ACHIEVE GOOD COLLEGE.
