Now being OBC candidate if you want to get seat in NIT through Other state quota then you should try to secure at least 90-92 percentile but if it is through Home state quota then you should target for 87-89 percentile.

With your percentile it is difficult to get seat in NITS or IITS.

Your obc rank will be around 60, 000 - 70,000.

With above  rank, you have very low  chances in NITs .

Closing rank for some of the lower NITs for OBC  category under other state is provided below in 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 :-

• NIT Mizoram ,civil engineering :- 14730 obc rank

• Nit nagaland :- Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology) :-  15340 obc rank

• National Institute of Technology Agartala, Production Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology :- 15659  obc rank

So, to get a seat in NIT you should get at least around 15000 OBC rank i. e around 95 percentile.

Coming to IIITs,

You have very low chance for IIITs as well

So, to get a seat in IIITs you should get target at least around 15,000 - 16,000 OBC rank i. e  around at least 94.5 - 95 percentile .

This has been predicted on the basis of past year data but  cut off/closing rank for colleges keeps changing every year depending upon many factors like number of students that appeared in the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main question paper for different shifts etc
