I guess you are talking about the top nit's of india , as you say nit in south india like trichy, warangal, surathkal etc.

Well if you see your percentile it is way too much for getting seat in those nit's , it doesn't matter whether you are having any reservation or not. Becauseyou are still in general category.

So if you ask me then i would sa that it is not possible.
