To calculate top 20 percentile , the marks of 5 subjects are considered. They are physics, chemistry, mathematics,a language paper, another subject other than the above 4.
They calculated in a scale of 100. If your board max marks were not 100 then they are converted to 100 and calculated.

Then all your subjects will be taken into consideration to calculate the top 20 percentile as you have limited subjects.
If you had more options like other subjects they take a subject score in which you have scored higher. That's all the privilege for you. Any way it's fine. You have high chances as your 12 the score is good.
