With your ST category rank of 1144 I think your probability of getting an IIT shouldn't be less if you don't have a preferred branch or IIT.

New IITS should easily be your chance like Palakkad, Jammu, Ropar etc.

Do try in the new IITS and also in old ones with a relatively lower branches like metallurgy and mining.

Apart from that you can also go for IIST or IISERs. Do participate in the counselling sessions and best of luck
