Hi,

You should apply to IIT Bombay,IIT Delhi,IIT Madras,IIT Kanpur if you have a score between 500 to 800
IISc Bangalore fir GATE score of 700 to1000 for most courses.
If you don't get a call from any of the top old IIT's then I would suggest you to apply for these ,NIT'S SURATKAL, WARANGAL & TRICHY rather than new IIT's. These institutes offer better Infrastructure and placements in comparison to new IIT's.

General - 650+ (Direct Admission) - 600 + (For Interview)

After top three NIT's, New IIT's and other NIT's falls in ranking.
