In most of the private colleges, you can get Lateral Entry if you are from any engineering branch. Lateral Entry means entering a different college in 2nd year even if you had done your first year from another college. However, you cannot take admission for other courses. You will have to clear the entrance or merit in another college of your liking. You will have to start you graduation all over again.
