Gap is never a problem and it is never late to resume studies. You will have to submit an affidavit stating the reason of gap.

Diploma in CSE is a program to cater technical skill orientation in the students and to earn a diploma in Engineering. The students learn by doing and progress from basics to higher order skills like develop, install, maintain software and hardware products.
The eligibility for the program is Pass with 50% aggregate marks in ITI (in Technical field) 1 year/ 2 years Certificate course after 10th Or 2 years Diploma from SLIET Or 10+2 Vocational (in Technical field) Or 10+2 (Non-Medical) or equivalent from any recognized Board or Council.

For admission in diploma course, candidate must have passed 10th examinations with a good (atleast 50% score). The course can also be pursued after 12th with relevant subjects (science subjects).
Diploma in Computer Engineering or information technology is a 3-year diploma level course.
