Hello aspirant,

yes, you can do genetic engineering. to be eligible for genetic engineering  the candidate is needed to have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from a recognized Board of education with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as main subjects with a minimum aggregate score of 60%. Since you meet the eligibility criteria therefore you can go for the course.

For admission to the course, candidates are required to qualify a relevant national/ State/ university level engineering entrance examination followed by rounds of counseling and personal interview. Some of the major national- level entrance examinations conducted in India for admission to the course are JEE MAIN, JEE ADVANCE, SRMJEEE, VIT EEE, BIT-SAT, JNU EEE, etc.

Top  colleges providing the course are as follows:

  • SRM University
  • Indian Institute of Science
  • Bharath University    Chennai
  • Aryabhatta Knowledge University
