see mca students are also eligible to write gate exam from any branches including computer science, since there is no year gap or age limit mentioned to write gate exam, you may surely apply. however during m.tech placement you may asked about what you have done in these years , so you need to prepare with answer for it.

The eligibility criteria for admission in M.tech course in IITs varies as some IITs have their own eligibility criteria but the basic eligibility for admission in M.tech courses is that a candidate should have secured a minimum of of 55% marks / 5.5 (on a 10 point scale) (some colleges require 60%) in B.E. /B. Tech./M.Sc. or equivalent in appropriate branches (50% marks for SC /ST).
A valid GATE score (at the time of interview/written test) (some colleges do not conducted any PI or written test).
Since, you have down MCA, you are not eligible to pursue M.Tech in IITs.
