With the score of 401 in NEET it is difficult to get admission in government college but not impossible. It depends on your category, quota, home state.

If you are general category student, then it is very difficult to get a government MBBS with401 marks as cutoff for general category usually ranges between 550-620+ for state quota and 600+ for AIQ.

For OBC category student also the cutoff usually ranges between 520-580+

For SC category student in some states, 400–450+ can get MBBS through state quota.

ST category student sometimes even 370–420 is enough depending on state and availability.

You might get a government MBBS seat if you're SC/ST, especially in North-Eastern states, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, etc.
