CSE is the most demanding branch out there and your rank is not pretty too high to secure one that easily as hundreds of students out there are fighting for each seat! I would always tell everybody to go with their dream and never compromise for your passion. I would always suggest taking up a decent college in which I get my branch that I always wanted to pursue rather than taking up some branch at a top college and I would advise you the same.
