1. Chances for MBBS in Government Medical Colleges

With 484 marks and OBC category, it is very unlikely to get an MBBS seat in a government medical college through:

All India Quota (15%)

State Quota (85%), unless your state has a very low cut-off (which is rare)

For example:

In most states (like Bihar, UP, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, etc.), OBC cutoff for MBBS in government colleges is above 530–580.

2. MBBS in Private Colleges (Deemed / State)

You may have some chances in:

Private medical colleges (depending on the state)

Deemed universities (but expensive, Rs.15–25 lakhs per year)

Management quota seats (fees can go higher)

3. Alternative Medical Courses (Good Options)

If MBBS isn’t feasible this year, you can still choose a great career in the medical field:

  • BDS (Dental)

Possible in private college

Good career in dental clinics, cosmetic dentistry, etc.

  • BAMS / BHMS / BUMS

Indian traditional systems (Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani)

Decent government and private college options for OBC candidates at 480+ marks

  • B.Sc Nursing / Paramedical Courses

BPT (Physiotherapy), BOT (Occupational Therapy), B.Sc Radiology, B.Sc Lab Technology, etc.

These are available in reputed government and private colleges

Lower cost, good career scope, job-ready in 3–4 years

4. Options Abroad

MBBS in countries like Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Bangladesh — at approx. 25–30 lakhs total.
