Hello Shaju,

JEE Main is conducted twice in a year usually in the months of January and April. It will be a Computer Based Test and will be conducted through Online mode solely.

The eligibility criteria to take JEE Main are as follows:

  • Those candidates who have passed Class 12th Examination in 2018, 2019 or those appearing for their Class 12th Examination in 2020 are eligible to appear in JEE Main Examination that is likely to be held in January-2020 as well as in April-2020. All those candidates who had passed Class XII/qualifying examination in 2017 or before are not eligible to appear for this examination. Even, if a candidate has passed in 2019 and is appearing for improvement exam in 2020 is also eligible.
  • There is no age limit for the candidates to appear for the examination.
  • The Number of attempts in a single academic session is one. A candidate can appear in JEE Main for three consecutive years.

So, coming to your query, there is no particular percentage that acts as a cutoff to sit for JEE Main. You can appear for the examination if you have passed with the passing percentage. So yes, you are eligible and can definitely appear for the examination.

Hello student I'm sorry to inform you that with this percentage you're not eligible if you belongs from Genral category but yes you're eligible if you're from ss/St category as eligibility criteria says that:-
Candidates need to have secured a minimum 75%marks in class XII or equivalent exam or be in the top 20 percentile in their class XII exam conducted by the respective board. For SC/ ST candidates, the eligibility criteria are to secure 65%marks in class XII or equivalent exam.
