A frank suggestion do not get swayed under the good side of donation. You will get your branch on interest, but it may be seen as a bad consequence later during placement drives for jobs, or may be on academics (depends on the college where you want to pay the donation as how the may affect you ,(not to blame any college specifically)) etc. If you have low marks adjust with your branch, college and perform well there and in that field, this will secure your life after engineering.
