Nothing can be said about spot rounds as the seats in this round are very few 2-3, so even if 1 or 2 students with good gate score come to this spot round you chances are lost.
However you can still trust your luck and wait till spot round of IITs rather, in case you get a good and old NIT before that you can go there too.
