I have a keen interest in psychology especially clinical but I heard that it takes time to become a psychologist and financially also it takes time to earn money whereas doing MBA will be beneficial for earning money in less time. what should I go for?

Hello,

Here’s a comparison to help you decide:

Clinical Psychology  :

  • Takes 5–8 years (BA/BSc + MA/MSc + MPhil/PhD) to become a licensed psychologist.
  • Requires supervised training and internships.
  • Financial returns are slow but stable in the long run.
  • High emotional satisfaction if you enjoy helping people.
  • Career options: therapist, counselor, researcher, professor.

MBA :

  • Takes 2 years (after any bachelor's degree).
  • Immediate job opportunities in corporate sectors.
  • Higher salary potential early in your career.
  • Competitive but broad career options (finance, marketing, HR).
  • Less emotional satisfaction if you prefer psychology.

Choose based on passion (psychology) vs. financial stability (MBA).

Hope you find it useful !
