Although your ews certificate is valid for 1 year . But in case of josaa counselling  they will raise query in your certificate for academic session. So u left with 1 option I.e. visit to tehsildar or sdm office and apply new one ,if your previous  certificate was made online then apply for offline ews certificate, in case they refuse to provide another ews certificate then talk to helpline number provided in nta site or you can call iit Delhi helpline no. ( because same thing was happened in my case last year, my ews certificate   was issued on 21-01-2021 ,also tehsildar refused to make new one, then i went to higher authorities and raised my problem,after that they gave me offline ews certificate)..also take care the conditions given on ews certificate. It should be same as given in Central ews certificate format .

But don't get panic... nits and iit's always ready to help u . In case of jossa counselling ,if any doubt is there in your document they will give u enough time to correct. Your candidature never get canceled until there is any fraud in your documents (remember I mentioned fraud not correction ). I am in nit ....1st year comes to an end , till today student who get some issue in there document  doesn't submit the correct document .Nit and IIt always  ready to help you.

In general as per the bulletin published by the JEE MAINS, its required that the EWS certificate must be issued after the 1st April of the on going session. For example, in JEE MAINS 2021, the valid EWS certificate was that it must be issued after 1st April, 2021. So its expected that for the JEE MAINS 2022, the EWS certificate must be issued after 1st April,2022.
