The validity of the certificate is must. Without validity, your caste certificate has no value. You can't do registration in CAP round untill you get your certificate validated.

Caste certificate has validity, during counselling they will be checking on the dates in the certificate and it should be as per the counselling needs.

Try to get a certificate which have been issued at most 5 months back.
