You have done diploma then for sure you have to go for lateral entry. Almost all colleges provide lateral entry. You have search which entrance you want to appear and take an admission in the college where you are interested. Without entrance you can't  take an admission in any engineering college except direct admission.

Better to make a plan and prepare accordingly to appear entrance exam and take an admission.
