It definitely works. There is no one stopping you to do that. There are many instances in the world where people from management have done technologies and they have really shaped their career in a new growth path. After your MBA you need to either pick up an online course or you need to pick up a short term program ( 6 months or 1 year) which skills you specially in AI or data science depending on your interests. So, definitely this is one of the good options after MBA.
