Do not listen to your neighbour.
Mba and b.tech are two different courses.
Do what interests you. Do not think what people think better over your interest.
However, you can always go for MBA after or before btech (since, you are a graduate).
Both have job opportunities in their own perspective.
In this case it is you who has to find out what to do first.
