Ph.D. in Engineering and Technology is a 3 - 5 years’ Doctorate course in the field of Engineering and technology. The knowledge of computer science and its technical know-how is the prerequisite for the Ph.D. Engineering and Technology programme.

Candidates who have completed the post graduation in the field of Computer Science are considered eligible for Ph.D. in Engineering and Technology. Eligible candidates must appear before an entrance examination and then the counselling round before getting their admissions done in a particular college in Ph.D. Engineering and Technology course.

However, the admission procedure for every college is entrance based. Different entrance exams conducted for admission to PhD in Engineering and Technology are GATE, SLET, TIFR GS, NET JRF etc.
