You should apply for lateral entry which is for diploma holders. Which state do you belong to? The reason I am asking is that I can give you correct details of the state admissions if any there. Lateral entry will allow you to start from the 2nd Year of engineering. Most states have their own entrance exam or admission procedure for lateral entry.
