Hello,

After completing your diploma in Computer Science from Karnataka, you can get admission into engineering colleges in Pune through the Direct Second-Year Admission (Lateral Entry) process . Eligible candidates must have a recognized three-year diploma with at least 45% aggregate (40% for reserved categories). Admissions are usually carried out through the Maharashtra State CET Cell's Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

During CAP registration, submit necessary documents like diploma mark sheets, migration certificate, transfer certificate, and domicile certificate (if applicable). Choose colleges that accept lateral entry students during the counseling process.

Top Pune colleges offering lateral entry include MIT WPU, PCCOE, Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, and DY Patil College of Engineering. With no additional entrance exams required, selection is based on your diploma performance.

Visit Maharashtra CET Cell to see when application dates begin and details about how to apply.
