Admission to Ph.D. in Legal Studies is done solely on the basis of Merit.

The eligibility criterion is passing Masters or M.Phil in legal studies or laws or equivalent examination with 55% aggregate from a recognized university. In addition, they will have to pass the various state and national level examinations conducted for admission to the course

This will be followed by personal interview and group discussion wherein they will have to debate/ discuss a topic in order to get an overview of the personality traits of the applicant for selecting students.

It is mandatory for students to have a minimum of 5 years of experience as professionals in senior-level posts. The cumulative marks obtained in the qualifying exam, personal interview/ group discussion, and entrance test is calculated to deem the merit percentage by the respective college which is subject to differ for different colleges.

- JMI Law Entrance Exam – Jamia Milia Institute Law Entrance Exam

- ILI CAT – Institute of Law Common Admission Test

- KLSAT – School of Law K

- NET – National Eligibility Test

- DET – Doctorate Entrance Test

- PET – Ph.D. Entrance Test
