Hi utkarsh ,
Getting admission into any prestigious college of engineering like iits are not at all easy and its not easy for any candudate to cover the jee advance syllabus in one year as you had not taken any coaching yet so it will get tough for you to cover the diverse syllabus .
But if you have to confidence to get selected into iits then only take drop or else get admission into the alloted institute.

Hey Utkarsh,

If your family is supporting you to take a drop then no problem better go for it. Give yourself a chance. It like give yourself a year to know what you really what and better then being in a hurry. And if you would have got IET,BIET or REC in AKTU then it would have been fine not to drop but currently as per your current college and AKTU I would recommend you to join AKTU. Better give yourself a chance.

I think you didn't understood my answer. AKTU/UPTU is referred for UPSEE. And as you said you got some private college.in AKTU. So if you got any government college in UPSEE(AKTU) then it was fine not to drop. But currently drop is a good choice for you if your family is supporting you . But in the end of you don't want to drop and think that it's a risk it's your personal decision cause you are the one who has to Study for IIT.and you also know it's not easy.
