Hi Aspirant,
Civil Engineering has a large scope in the government sector. You can go for GATE,IES,Exams of other PSU's,State government job exams etc.
However,the competition in this field is very tough and it is not easy to get through.
You should definitely continue your efforts because it does have a very bright future but also taking a job in the private sector and then simultaneously preparing can be the best way to continue.

You have completed your graduation In Civil engineering,So try to apply in any construction companies Which is related to your Graduation meanwhile continue your preparation for Government jobs which you wish to do in your future If you found your Willing job go join for it till then work in any of Companies Which match your qualifications.If you are willing to study your higher education try applying for GATE/IES and other.
