i dont think that should be a problem since you have duplicate certificate signed by school. its totally possible for students to lose their original tc and thats why schools have the provision to issue a new one. so dont worry, in all probabilities that should not be a problem. even if there is , colleges give you some time to submit the documents that you can't submit immediately. so you can ask them during counselling about this and act accordingly.

It won't be a problem if the duplicate is self attested. You can take the self attested to the respective college and they'll take it. But to be on a safer side you can apply for the new leaving certificate.
