Hey,
The admission procedure in most of the foreign countries is different from what we have here in India. They measure a student's mental ability. It is true that you need a brilliant academic groud but i you must always remember to perform really good in your language proficiency tests like SAT or TOEFL as they are most important of all. Apart from that,your statement of purpose should reflect who you actually are.
