After the 10+2 eligibility criteria is met, the students have to furnish a valid scorecard of the All India Entrance Examination conducted by ICAR, New Delhi at different centers in the country. The admission is then based on merit.

Various institutes also accept the state level entrance exam scorecards conducted by the respective states or some of them have designed their own entrance exams for admissions like the Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University Dairy Technology Entrance Exam.
