In any counselling, the general requirements are that you need to carry following original documents so that they can confirm all the information that you have given are right or wrong. It will be really helpful if you have provided me with the name of the exams counselling you are talking about but still, general documents you need to carry in most of the counselling are:

• Admit Card
• Result/Rank Letter
• Class X Certificate and Marksheet 
• Class XII Certificate and Marksheet
• 8 passport sized photographs (Same as the one affixed on the application form)
• Seat Allotment letter
• Proof of Identity (Aadhar card/PAN card/Passport/ Driving License)
• Category Certificate (if applicable)

Yes mostly the xerox is enough for the counselling process . Just try to scan the real one if available to you and it is mandatory for you to have the 12th class certificate as it is important. YOu should apply for a new one so that you dont face any problem in future.
