Hello,

The cut off score of NEET  is based on many factors such as number of candidates appeared in entrance exam, difficulty level of test, marking scheme, and most importantly, number of MBBS and BDS seats. In order to qualify NEET , candidates belonging to General Category have to secure a minimum of 50 percentile score in the test, while, those belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC), the minimum cut off score to obtain is 40 percentile. Further, on the basis of NEET cut off, the score card of NEET  will specify whether the candidate isNEETqualified or non-qualified. Further, among the qualified candidates, the top 15% scorers will be directly eligible to participate in NEET  counselling for 15% All India Quota Seats. On the basis of NEET Cut off, NEET rank range for participation in 15% All India Quota (AIQ) counselling will be declared separately.

Hi Nitin,

See, the cut off is increasing every year and that too with a drastic change. Number of applicants is also increasing because there is no age boundation to apply for NEET.

This year only students even scoring 550 from general category stand no chance in getting any government medical college. Paper was easy because of which cut off went through the roof.

Next year predictions can't be made whether the paper will be easier than this or more difficult but it can be assumed that the paper quality will be around this only.

No matter, how easy the paper is, still students are scoring because of which only cut off increases. One students being students scoring more.

If you wish to be eligible to get a assured government medical college through NEET then aim at scoring 600 marks out of 720.

I know this sounds really difficult to score but considering the quality of the questions and the increasing number of applicants, this much effort need to be put forward from your side to get an assured seat.

I hope you study well.

All the best with the preparations.

Hello Aspirant!

For getting into one of the top notch central government medical colleges you should focus on scoring marks ranging from 620 onwards. With such marks you can definitely get into the top central government medical colleges like AIIMS(All Indian Insititute of Medical Sciences) colleges ,etc. Now, if you want to get admission into just any government medical college then you should focus on scoring marks ranging from 548 onwards. With such marks you can definitely get into the government medical colleges without any doubt. For getting admission into the private medical colleges, you can score marks ranging from the passing/qualifying marks up to 600 marks!

Hope this information helps you :)

Hii,

All the best for your preparations for the upcoming exams. Hope you are doing well and6had already managed your schedule of one year, that which topic and subject you need to more focus upon.

For getting into good government medical college through all India Councelling, you need to set your aim for marks more than 550, then only you can think of fetching a government seat easily through all India or state quota counselling. Since every year cutoff trends is increasing with the increasing no. Of candidates and increasing competition, so you need to really word hard to achieve your set goal.
Hope this will help.
Good luck!
