Sorry but, at now iits have 10988 seats, and your rank is around 16k, for any category it is nearly impossible to get seat in iit  at that rank because there are nearly 5k students above your rank, if any seat goes vacant they'll be give preference for admission before you, and you can imagine, upto your rank ever seat will be filled, so try for any other colleges other than iit, you have that potential and it'll worth it or you want iit seriously than take a drop year and fight back again for iit.
