Yes you can appear in jee mains april session even if you have not haven't appeared in the January session .

This is because there's no compulsion that a student needs to appear in both the session, so one is free to appear in any of the two sessions or one can even appear in both the sessions and in that case his or her best performance will be considered for providing admission.
