If you've paid INR 4600 to a counselor who is now unresponsive, here’s what you should do to try and get your money back:
Contact the Counselor – First, try to reach out through all available ways: call, WhatsApp, email, or social media. Politely ask for either the promised service or a refund.
Check Payment Method – If you paid via UPI, bank transfer, or a payment app like Paytm or Google Pay, raise a dispute or complaint through that platform immediately. Mention "fraud" or "no service after payment."
Collect Evidence – Keep screenshots of your chat, payment receipt, and the promise made by the counselor. These will help if you need to escalate.
File a Complaint –
Use the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) at 1800-11-4000 or visit consumerhelpline.gov.in (https://consumerhelpline.gov.in) .
You can also lodge a complaint via the cybercrime portal ( https://cybercrime.gov.in ) if it's an online fraud.
Inform the Platform – If you found the counselor via a website or app, report the issue to them with proof.
