To give JEE Mains you have to just passed XII examination. In order to get admission into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs you are required to get 75% in XII or you should be in Top 20 percentile of your board. You haven't mentioned which XII Board you belong. If you belong to boards like Bihar State or UP State, then there top 20 percentile percentage is lower than 75%.. This year, the condition of 75% is waived off owing to Pandemic. For Next year, it is not clear whether the eligibility criteria for XII will remain to be 75% or not.

So, you can give JEE Mains, and could get into Some colleges who dies have 75% criteria.
