In order to join air force you need to have passed 12th with physics and mathematics as main subjects. For this you need to appera for NDA exam which is only for male candidates. You have to also qualify physical demands that is weight and height ratio, good hearing, good physical and mental health, etc. 

To get selected you need to appear in NDA  and clear services selection board interview. Age limit is also a factor in selection. After SSB interview, candidates have to appear in Pilot Aptitude Battery Test and this is a once in a lifetime test.
