Note that there are 2 types of caste lists:
Central list and State lists, which differs a lot
as Central list is prepared by the Central
government, while State lists are prepared by
respective states. Although both certificates
are issued by the state government, your OBC
certificate will mention whether it's for
Central OBC list or State OBC list. Some states
use another name for state OBC list to reduce
the confusion, like BC 1 list and BC 2 list in
Bihar. Some states also have EBC lists.

Yes. If you have OBC certificate of the caste
that is included in the CENTRAL LIST, you
are eligible for OBC quota in DU

In the meantime, you can also check the
Central list of National Commission for
Backward Classes website whether your caste
is mentioned or not

It doesn't matter where you did your
schooling.

Dear Shaily, it depends on the college you are opting for. If you are seeking admission in any central university like DU , then yes your OBC certificate is valid there. And if you are applying for state university then you have to provide the OBC certificate of that state only.
