Are you truly passionate about the field of programming? Do you truly want to be in this area in three to five years? Are you prepared to accept and conquer the problems you may encounter in this field? Take action if the answer is positive. Speaking of math, it often occurs in the first and second semesters of the first year. You'll have an option/electives for the remainder of the semester.

Nobody is adept at remembering things; after all, we are only human and occasionally forget things. Start with the fundamentals, master grammar and semantics, and practice consistently if you want to succeed in the field of computer applications. You'll undoubtedly retain a lot of information if you do this.
