Hey Aryan! With your NEET score of 172 and SC category rank of 390, getting admission in a government BVSc & AH college in Gujarat is going to be very difficult. The closing ranks for SC students in Anand or Navsari colleges in previous years have been much higher, meaning only candidates with better scores were able to secure seats. So, chances in government veterinary colleges are extremely slim.

However, you still have some options. You can explore private veterinary colleges, which may have management quota seats or lower cutoffs. Other alternatives include colleges in different states where cutoffs might be more accessible. If your goal is to work in the field of animal science, you could also consider related courses like BSc in Animal Husbandry, BSc in Zoology, or diploma programs, which can open career opportunities in the veterinary or animal care sector.

With a NEET score of 172 and an SC merit rank of 390, you have a fair chance for BVSc admission in Gujarat. The expected SC cut-off for veterinary seats is usually lower, so your score is within the safe range. Final allotment will depend on seat availability, number of applicants, and choice filling during counselling. You should definitely register for the Gujarat BVSc counselling to secure a seat. Keep checking official updates from the state veterinary admission authority for confirmation.

Neet qualifying cutoff for sc candidates Is 40% which is around 113 or 143 marks depending on years difficulty of paper, and for colleges in Gujarat the expected neet cutoff for sc category under state quota is generally 430 mark range , therefore a score of 172 is far below then the expected thresholds

Hello,

With 172 marks in NEET and SC merit rank 390 in the BVSc merit list, you have chances of getting admission in Gujarat veterinary colleges under the SC category.
