Dear Sangya, after Round 1 of Bihar State Counselling, 599 marks was the cut off for General Category. With 573 marks it might be a tough position that you are in given the no.of Government Medical seats are less. You may have to wait until the Mop up round to see if you can have a shot at a seat in a Govt. Medical College.

Hello Sangya,

As per the previous year cutoff trends, and under the 85% State Quota, here are some colleges you can consider -

  • Nalanda Medical College - 552
  • Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical sciences - 557
  • Darbhanga Medical college - 552
  • Jawaharlal Medical college - 542

This year, the cutoff score for an Unreserved category candidate is 599, the AIR Cutoff rank is 7924 while the State cutoff rank is 481 in the first round. As you can see, cutoffs are higher this year. Keep a track of the lists but don't forget to look for other colleges as well to keep your options open.

All the Best!
