Hello Devika, Securing a better seat in the 2nd counseling round is not guaranteed. It all depends on whether you come under the merit list of that particular college or not in the 2nd round of counseling. But keep in mind that if you selected the float option, you won't be losing your seat in of the 1st round which means that if you don't get a better seat in the 2nd round, you can still take admission in the 1st round allotted course.
