See, to pursue a career as a developer(C++ or otherwise) you should take one of the branches like CSE, ECE, or Electrical engineering. As software companies tend to consider these eligible for jobs.

Plus I'd like to add, that you should try other languages as well. You will most certainly have to work with more than one language anyways.

Now, as of your career, C++ is used in high performing systems such as share markets or game development. So you should look for companies that are in these domains.
