Your son can sit for the entrance exams conducted by the sainik school if Imphal if he is eligible and falls in the required age and class group.

Admission to sainik schools are not exclusive to only wards of defence personals, though there is quota in various catagories : SC(15%), ST(7.5%) and defence(25%)
