Hi Ankit,

     Congratulations on your AIIMS rank. According to previous year counselling, you have very fewer chances to get into AIIMS New Delhi, AIIMS Jodhpur. But you can very well try for AIIMS Bhopal, AIIMS Patna,  AIIMS Rishikesh, AIIMS Raipur, AIIMS Nagpur, AIIMS Bhubaneshwar and many of the lower AIIMS. You would surely get a seat in any of them. You really did have a closer call but you won't get into AIIMS this year. As the cut-off for mock round (counseling) is:-

Overall rank- 4312

Category rank- 1240

As your rank doesn't come under the cut-off ranks you won't get called in the mock counseling. Moreover, further selection will be done in the mock round and if there's a chance of a second or third list it will be for the students called for the mock round.

But you can always try other colleges.
