NCERT books helps you to build your concepts strong. It is to clear your basics. If you want to clear your exam you need to put extra effort in it. You can refer previous year papers to understand the exam pattern and level of questions. Focus on important topics. You can solve as many as MCQs for your practice. Go for complete mock test series to analyze your preparation at regular interval of time.

I would say complete your NCERT first properly as 80% syllabus will be coming from there only. Also, once you are done with all your NCERT books then you should start doing practice by reference books as well. Some of them I am mentioning below -

Physics-NCERT and HC Verma

Chemistry - N.C.E.R.T. - Solomons Fryhle (Organic Chemistry) - J D Lee ( Inorganic Chemistry) - Little bit of 'Modern Approach to Chemical Calculations' by RC Mukherjee. (Physical Chemistry)

Mathematics: -N.C.E.R.T. -Little bit of 'Objective Mathematics' by R.D.Sharma -Little bit of IITJEE Mathematics, Tata McGraw Hill Publication.

Hope this helps!!!!
